$625.00

This rod is the rarest of the six AFRCo models. It is thought to be named after Scarborough Pond in Pelham Massachusetts near the home of one of the company owners. It is in excellent original condition and except for some very light soiling on the cork from occasional handling it appears unused. It has a very nice down-locking reel seat with a walnut spacer and a 7 inch fish tale grip. The silks are dark red with black trim. The script on the butt indicates it is a 6 weight. the action is medium. The ferrules are high grade nickel silver in sizes 18 and 11. They fit as new. It is a great all-around fly rod for trout and even small bass bugs. The black cardboard rod tube may be original but the bag is a more recent replacement.
